W.A.V.E. project represented at LIGNA 2025
From 26 to 30 May 2025, the W.A.V.E. project had its own stand at LIGNA in Hanover – the leading international trade fair for the timber industry. The presence was made possible by the cooperation with the Landesbetrieb Wald und Holz NRW, which included the project team in its trade fair appearance as a partner close to the border. IZES and WFG Ostbelgien were responsible for the organisation.
The stand was staffed by employees from the project partners IZES, WFG, Luxinnovation and FBW. CAP Construction also organised a Belgian delegation trip with stops at the passive house project ‘Feuerwache Wegberg’ and the EGGER plant in Brilon. After a networking evening, the group visited the trade fair on 28 May and was welcomed at the W.A.V.E. stand and in the pavilion of Wald und Holz NRW.
A special highlight was the participation of the Interreg project ExtraBark, which presented itself with its own contribution at the W.A.V.E. stand and was able to make new contacts.
